Yes, they look like Northern Musk Turtles (Sternotherus odoratum). These do tend to be very crepuscular in habit, and will seldom be observed basking. They probably do bask but will plop back into the water at the slightest disturbance.

i held brendon yesterday and he didn't bite yey he actually seemed to enjoy it!!he ran all across my hands and quite liked it.i was very excited!!

im having a little dilemma in my turtles tank theres sometimes little white worms in there i don't know what they are and i don't know if they can harm the turtleshelp
