Much much longer can I safely keep them in the fridge?
Hi All,
I've got my 4 x 12yr old female hermans in the fridge, they are approaching the 8 week mark and I was originally planning to get them up about this time. However I am thinking of extending this as they have hardly lost any weight (1 or 2%) and seem OK to keep sleeping. Plus its very cold/ no weeds around. How many weeks do you think I should extend it by? This is their first ever hibernation. thanks all |

My hermans will be down for another 2/3 weeks yet and they went down the end of October it is really up to you there is no set time for hibernating and some will say it is unnecessary so if they are ok leave them there

Mine have been down since the end of November and will stay there until the end of Feb, so about 12 weeks.

I don't know anything about it as I don't do the fridge thing but would it not depend on what condition and weight they were in at the beginning?
