It's trial and error really, the amount will change as they grow. When I started feeding them I soaked a teaspoon of them and then looked to see how much they ate. If they were all gone then try a few more next time, you might want to top up with either weeds or more pellets f they are all eaten, to start with. When I first gave them to my baby she would eat one and that was enough.

He does get weeds however it doesnt often vary from dandelion or chicweed as its all i recognise that seems to grow round here especially that i trust not to have killer on.

i am choosing to feed him these pellets 2/3 times a week with some weeds also just so i know hes getting everything he needs because going from what i read the limestone in the poor soil in the med makes the weeds there more nutritious.

I put limestone flour in my soil to grow weeds..

Anyway how, if you want to feed weeds, which are the closest to nature we can get, then check out the tortoise table website, they have a whole database with pictures and info on every weed and flower.

I think we are all just stating our opinion aren't we?

Sorry if you thought I was rude about your tortoise by the way.
