the Zoo there must be about 5 different species living in here

Those Hermanns at the zoo are huge I'd say 10 to 12 inches. The 2 mounted tortoises (Hermanns and Spur-thigh) are large also. I've seen pictures of those 2 in an article on large tortoises in Bulgaria. The one you have never seen before is a Serrated tent tortoise, Psammobates oculifer.

I don't like those preserved tortoises at all.

yes it was very hard to see that but i have read alot of articles about bulgarian tortoises

and no swords Johathan maybe next time :P

Very interesting pictures Greg, thanks for sharing. I met someone at the weekend who has two female torts, a TGG & a Hermans - the hermans was
12"scl & a massive 3.5kg! He commented that the Hermans is definately the boss - I could see why!
