Default Part of shell has come off? PICTURES ADDED

Hi,

Just doing a bit of spot cleaning and found a part of Tetley's shell

You know the bit right behind their heads, the bit that can sometimes rub on the neck it's that bit. That has broken off and the underneath has been torn off.

It doesn't look sore or red and there is no irritation of any sort. I really have no idea how this has happened

Is it bad that it has? Is his shell not strong enough?

Thanks,

Row

Always bathe this sort of injury with diluted beta dine or the like. To stop bacteria setting in.

I'll get pictures tomorrow as the lights off and he is sleeping.

No bone showing and no soreness.

Where do I get betadine from?

Thanks for replying. I'll keep you updated xx

I got betadine from an online reptile store, Row. Tabitha has knocked her shell climbing a few times and it's easy to dab on.

Pictures are not great he would not stay still! It's his middle of the bow bit? It does not sore at all... Worrying over nothing maybe?

Thanks CB. He's always climbing and falling over so I wonder if he fell back an knocked it? I think I maybe over reacting as no soreness, it's like its just a layer of shell?
