Default Skin breaking away

Little Timmy has started to shed some skin. I have googled it and it seems natural but thought I would post a couple of pics on here and check with you guys. Thanks.

just keep an eye on the leg one, could be rubbing on his shell but can't tell at this angle. I am a little over cautious now with sores or exposed areas cause of the fly strike post I did but it does look natural. If gets red then consider savlon o rhe could be a little dehydrated. Is Timmy definitely a boy? head shape/curve looks more girlie. sorry if not the case ! he is cute regardless

I would get your tortoise checked out by a tortoise vet, as they dont normally lose skin in such big pieces, especially on the bottom part of the leg.
Its normal to lose skin around the neck and thin areas, but not on the scaley part.
It might be a fungus infection.

I've not seen such large areas or skin that thick coming off on my torts. It's usually just thin flakes around the neck area.

I was just about to comment the same as you, Wendy. I've never seen any of my torts shed in other areas. That's not to say they don't, but clearly just tiny pieces if they do.

We will take him to the vets on Monday and get him checked out. The local vets has a reptile specialist apparently. Will report back what she says.
