Just bought some dried weeds Sarah. An excellent idea if I might say so myself!!
 Like you say, especially with weeds being hard to find, a nice little sprinkling of these on Lilys food will be excellent. He already has some weeds but this will make a better meal!!

Hard to say how fast they will grow, the warmer the weather the faster they will grow. Yes you can plant them straight out
