Default advice please

my youngest herman tort who is about 19months ish, im a little worried about, just wanted to see what the general opinion would be....

ok here goes....

on a morning i put the heat up to about 32-35 put some fresh weeds in (as im starting to find them more and more) in, when i go back to them my biggest one is out ready under heat warming up but the small one is dug under soil every single morning and wont move until i move him! and when i get home again i have to feel around the soil to find him again to have a bath and try to hand feed him as i haven't seen him eat in ages! my other tort is having the same diet the same temperature the same everything and is totally fine growing got energy etc.. there is no reason why the little one isn't doing the same....

Bit worried to put up the post ....not knowing what kind of responses i'm going to get. I cant be doing anything wrong as the other is absolutely fine.

They are in a 3foot cage with top soil in fresh water and food every day place to hide (which he def takes advantage of!!) one is is about 30-35 as stated before and cool end is about 23 ish. drops a bit lower later in evening.

THink ive covered the usuall questions that are asked!! but please ask away and dont fight....please

xxxx

What's your room temp/ night time temps, my one hermann does this but I leave him dug now, if your night temps are too low takes a while for them to warm up though the day

I wonder if 14 is too cold for night time. My hermanns enclosure doesn't get lower than 18.

Can't see where it says 14 at night?

Are you bathing your tortie everyday? Might be worth upping the baths to twice a day

Is there much of a size difference between the two torts?

Agree with Peter and Paul, maybe worth upping night time temps a little bit

Is there any chance your little one may be intimidated by the big one? x

ok so try upping night temps a bit? i dont understand why this is just effecting the one tort ...i bath tort every day once at the moment this tort is about 90g and the other is just shy 350g roughly! my friend has a tort this age from the same batch and it is exactually the same where as smaller ones so 5 month old ones are coping fine in with bigger torts, eating gaining etc... its just these two that aren't showing signs of .....well....anything!!
