Any Idea's
Hi just found these 2 growing in the garden wondering if anybody knows what they might be and if they're tortoise friendly.

I don't think they are edible. I think it's groundsel the bottom one

Its a little hard to confirm without seeing the flowers....or dare i even say smelling them.........as some do have rather a distinct smell to them....But I think the top one might ........repeat might be whelsh poppy(they usually have yellow or orange little flowers during the summer) they are sometimes called papovera i think. The bottom one i agree with the other poster looks like Groundsel, which is not edible.

I think the first one is welsh poppy. I have it growing all over the gardens in my new house, would like to see the flower though...

I think the top one is welsh poppy which is edible including the flowers. I agree about the other one looking like groundsel which is not.

Can't seem to find a flowering versionof number 1 so until I do I'll avoid adding it to the torts diet Harwood

it wouldn't be flowering now any way.........as it usually finishes flowering sometime in September........but you may be able to find some seed heads from when it did flower earlier in the year.
If you do find them, post the pics and then we can confirm this for you. Dawn |
