Default sunflower

Hi all we have loads off sunflowers in the garden can tortoise eat then or are they a no no

Hi, don't remember seeing Sunflowers on any safe lists, have read that the seed kernel, the outer skin of the oil seed, is unedible. As for the petals, dunno, sorry. Someone might

the seeds are high in fat high in phospherous and low in calcium so not good

i cant find out about petals or leaves

sunflowers have been used to extract toxins from soil so again i would think no

but i cant really find much useful info sorry

I was just going to say they have a reputation for extracting and storing nasties from soil.
