Default Bath time

I have some questions about bath time for my Hermanns. Mine defecate two, sometimes three times when I bath them. Just wondered whether this is good for them? I know that tortoise digestion tends to be slow to digest plant material - are they expelling food that is fully digested or food that they could still get nutrients from?

Think it takes 2-3weeks to fully digest something eaten. My Hermann does this in the bath too, well once each bath.

It is as though they drink in the bath so then can afford to realise the old stuff.

I understand it to be normal and healthy unless someone more experienced says differently.

Torts very often poo or wee in the bath, nothing to worry about, I believe the warm water kinda get's their digestive system going.

As long as there isn't undigested bits of food in the poo then all's well

BTW the time it takes for food to be digested is pretty much dependant on the temps the tort is kept at.

It would be digested; nothing like seeing a nice good clear out!
