Regarding the 100w Arcadias, I have been informed that they are not even in production yet so I wouldn't be buying one if I were you.
They have only been tested so far Last edited by Alan1; 29-09-2010 at 09:46 AM. |

Just to confirm, the 100w is definitely not available just now. SPS's supplier gave them wrong info apparently

SPS have now removed the 100w Arcadia from the site after being misinformed about their availability. They replaced my Solarglo really swiftly, great service but crap bulb. I'm not returning the new one even though it is not much better than the previous one

I have checked out these sites and cannot find the Arcadia, I bought a solarglo and am worried it's no good. I don't have a meter thingy to test it
I find it really confusing, so many bulbs out there, so expensive and you don't know which to use. I need a bulb quickly as I have a couple of rehomers coming so could you point me in the right direction

BTW Beverley, the 160w Arcadia isn't hotter than a 100w or 125w, they have been designed to produce just the same heat, probably a coating on the glass or something. It obviously uses a wee bit more electric though but it produces more light. There is always the Mearay too, Rach has one still producing high UVB
