I would also worry that someone had used the bulb and is now trying to pass it on as new even though it has passed its useful life and is no longer producing UVB.

Durr silly me, I did buy from them, then they didn't have any on their website. They must have some more in stock

I've just looked on the surrey pet supply website at the arcadia bulbs and they look to have a 100W version for £36.66 so they must already be available for sale?

Seem only to be selling them from the ebay link and not the website Bindi.
Dont think the 100W has been released yet so it may be a pre order?

Yes I had an email from them today as I'm sending the Solarglo back. I thought they weren't selling Arcadia and I had asked about them and they replied with the link here http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/a...king-lamp.html only £40 for the 160w. I would go for the 160w every time, it only produces the same heat as a 100w but the light is superb

Not sure if the 100w will actually be in stock yet or not though as the guy from Arcadia said only this morning that it's coming soon

IMO might be worth - (to anyone considering it....) to hold fire on even buying the 100w (if it is out)...and wait for the 'Oracle' Frances Baines to review it.
Al, presume FB will be doing the same for the 100w??

I think if I were changing, I would go for the 160w.

surrey pets have told me to send it back and they will sort it out. I could get a refund and get the arcadia but I wanted to compare it with the Arcadia to see what went downhill fastest. Not sure what to do now as I've already asked for a replacement.

Re the 100w, I assume it was frances baines he was on about when he said it was given the approval of the uv experts, she tests everyones bulbs

You know the Arcadia is fairing better like for like....your happy with it, as are most. It certainly is up there with Mega Ray.
Unless try 1more.... and if that one is not much better - wouldnt bother with another.

Some good prices kicking on the Arcadia when they were first launched i paid £44.95 with postage from Reptilica Germany.
