Default UKs first Reptile Magazine!!!

Hi Everyone,

Just thought everyone would like to know that the UKs first reptile keeping magazine (Practical Reptile Keeping) is nearly here! I received a sample copy today and it seems pretty good!

It will be available monthly with the first issue (dated May 2009) on sale from April 17th. Its an A4 68page glossy magazine published by Kelsey Publishing and will have a cover price of £3.00.

Edited by David Alderton, content will include the purchase and care of reptiles and amphibians including snakes, lizards, tortoises, insects and frogs etc. The magazine will be displayed in the pet magazine section of WHSmith high street stores, news trade multiple groups(whatever they are!?) and supermarkets.

Rather exciting me thinks!

Practical Fishkeeping magazine is very good and I suspect that will be from the same 'stable' so should be good. The only thing you'll find is that it will probably be leaning more heavily towards the most popular reptiles whatever they may be. If that happens to be torts then that would be great but doubt if it is, is it?

With the PFK mag it's geared more towards freshwater tropicals than marines or coldwaters but still contains articles every week just not as many as for freshwater trops

reptile care magazine has been in the UK for a while - although not had any issues for a long time.

Really? Is it actually published in the UK or is it one those American jobbies?
