I would wait a week or two and then clip some more if you want. As the nails get shorter, the quick will recede, so it will be safer.

Thank you for some sensible advice, I will do that.

Oooooo nasty , do you remember I had that done a few years ago, twice, and ended up having both pulled.

But now I’ve got a frozen shoulder, or adhesive capsulitus , and it’s very painful. I can’t wash and blow dry my hair, so my hubby is fast becoming a very good hair dresser. I have to put torts out and in one at a time , very boring. And there’s loads more I can’t do. I’ve have had a steroid injection, that hasn’t helped, so I’m off to see the chief physio at the hospital , possible an mri scan and more injections .

Oh no, that sounds so painful. Does heat help? A nice hot water bottle against that side of your face?
Hubby had an abscess a couple of years ago and he says it was the most pain he's known. Worse than his surgery when he had cancer!
Hope it soon settles down. Have they prescribed any painkillers for you? xx

I know people that have had root canal and the tooth eventually crumbles and has to be pulled. Depending on where it is I think having it pulled is probably what I'd do rather than go through all that pain.

Shoulder pain is awful, Suze. I know someone who had cortisol injections in their shoulder due to a bone spur that couldn't be operated on but the injections didn't make much difference but Voltarol cream did. Might be worth a try!
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the scan. xx

Oh poor you Gordon, that must be miserable. You have my sympathy, take the pain killers , it will ease. I’m sure by tomorrow it will feel better

That will be the trigeminal nerve , it goes along the upper and lower jaw , and your ears too.

Sorry to hear about all the aches and pains.

Warmth - either hot water bottle of a wheatgerm pack does sooth.

When I had a bad neck Suze I used tiger balm. Miracle stuff.

Gordon, my mum who didn't drink swore by some brandy on the gum. (Although she did put butter on burns too)!

I tend to use a heated bean bag for the pain, I can sit with it draped over my shoulder, but unfortunately a frozen shoulder can take months to sort it’s self out. The most annoying thing is not being able to wash and dry my own hair
