Aghhh, don't know why they are coming up tiny!

Thanks for your comments, I was hoping for a common easy breed. Guess it's a more complicated rare one?

Don't suppose anyone knows how to age a tortoise? I can't find any info on the forum?

Bindi, I have no history on him/her prior to my aquiring him 19 years ago. He was fully grown then and found wondering along the middle of a road by my friends who knowing me to be a passionate animal lover brough him to my house. Subsequent attmepts to find the owner failed and we've been together ever since.

I think he is in fact a she? It is a Graeca, they're not exactly rare, but not as common as say Hermans or Horsfields. I keep Testudo Graeca Iberas, yours is a Testudo Graeca Graeca so a different subspecies. Ibera's tend to be easier to get hold of. The common name for both is a Spur Thigh.
Do you hibernate your tort? If so, I'd be interested to know how you do it?
I have to tell you again how utterly wonderful I think she is!
By the way, I wouldn't worry about her being complicated, you're obviously doing a fab job of looking after her

Hi Amy,

What a stunning well grown tortoise you have, the plastron shots are a bit too small for sex ID, can you try and post them again.

I love the story how you happened to become life long friends. I suspect he must be at least 30 to 40 years old if he was fully grown before you got him.

I posted the small pics exactly the same way I posted the big one and that one turned out nice and huge. Does anyone know what I may have done wrong? I can then try and get it right.

You've posted the thumbnails I think instead of the full size ones
