Smile Problem with thermostat & digital timer

Hi everyone,

I've just changed to the habistat dimming thermostat with day/night facility. When I try and use this with my digital timer it blows the fuse inside the thermostat.
When I use an old 24 hour analogue timer it works fine, part from the timer looses minutes everyday, but it doesn't blow the fuse.
Does anyone have an idea of how I can get the thermostat and digital time to work together??
I'd appreciate any advice?

Hi
I had the very same problem when I got two new ones the old one I had was fine for years until it finally died.
I contacted the manufacturer and they said to put a bigger fuse in it which didn't seem to be such a good idea in my mind as if you read their discamers it says the warenty will be void if anything is is changed.
So I contacted the people who I purchased and told them and they took them back with no problems at all.
And now I have a nice shiny new istat which apparently is all singing and dancing but as yet not come out of the box as everything is outside.

Hi, thanks for the replies guys. I phoned the supplier for advice who said the thermostat is ok, its the timer which is the problem (no kidding!) So I went out and got a different digital timer which so far hasn't blown the thermostat. Finger crossed it will be ok now
