Would you be able to feed straight from the shop? Will they have pesticides and stuff on them?

They more than likely would Christy so best to repot and leave outside for a while before feeding to your torts. I don't know exactly how long for I'm afraid, but I wouldn't give them any of the flowers that are on there when you buy it.

At a guess I would leave it for a month or so before feeding any of the leaves

At the end of the day lots of people feed florette and stuff like that, well that's all grown with fertilizers and all so don't suppose the odd one off would be the end of the world, but best to be on the safe side I reckon

when i get these all flowers get removed and re pot them, but torts will not get them until, the torts are out and about outside. so they will be well weathered. thats what i done last yr too. it Also gives the plant a bit of growing time.
