Default Another question about Habistats

Why can't you use a room stat that we have in our homes for a Tortoise enclosure?

And they work on the same premise? I'm by no means a cheapskate but mines knackered and I need a replacement asap. A degree or two is okay surely?

After thought, i think they are best placed the furthest away from the heater, like oposite end and not too high as heat rises.

They seem quite good. Less wires etc. I think I'm going to buy one of those mate. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
