Another question about Habistats
Why can't you use a room stat that we have in our homes for a Tortoise enclosure?

Ah have forgot about cheeper room stat's, some do use these, what i remember reading is they are a couple of degree's out, but generaly ok.

And they work on the same premise? I'm by no means a cheapskate but mines knackered and I need a replacement asap. A degree or two is okay surely?

It's cost me about seven hundred quid to build this enclosure I have for them now.

They run a heater like a tube. Like this.

After thought, i think they are best placed the furthest away from the heater, like oposite end and not too high as heat rises.
