seeds
It turns out i'm rubbish at growing weeds and flowers!!! I'm looking to order a batch of seeds off of the shelled warriors shop, throw them in a patch of garden or a pot and let them take care of themselves!! ....is this possible?? Which mix is recommended to do the above with that's also best for a THH. Every attempt so far they dont work and just die and im not confident to go out and pick them from the wild.

I've bought a mix from the SW shop before but I just can't get them to grow any further on than a very thin straggly green pathetic thing.

That's what I had last time. I have bought one of those trays to try this year. If not, I'm sticking to weeds I can find topped up with florette crispy and lambs lettuce. My uncle grows plants, so I'll feed the safe ones of those too. Lol

I have had this problem with SW seeds, I thought it was just me but on a different site I saw a few other people say the same. Someone recommended a Amazon seller called 'Just Seed UK' they sell hundreds of seeds separately for about £1 each, they don't realise it but a lot are tort friendly weed seeds. Anyway I have brought some and started growing them (by just throwing them on a bit of soil) and so far they seem to be going better than my SW seeds.

I'm not saying it was the seeds (from my point of view), I'm not green fingered at all! I can't even keep bigger plants alive. Lol x

Growing weeds correctly inside is near impossible:0) As getting the water, light and temps right is hard. They need to be sown outside on rubbish soil. Then they will thrive:0) Some seeds need a cold snap to encourage germination. I sow mine in the late Autumn (outside) so I have plenty of weeds when the torts come out of hibernation:0)

Like Sandy, I sow in the autumn and already there's plenty of juicy leaves in the tort enclosures. I'll be sowing some more later on this month.
I find the quick growing med mix, nipplewort, slender plantain, red clover and white clover grow well. You can't go far wrong with nasturtiums either.
