Me too. Cold Play were 'epic' (new word I believe for cool)!

Early to bed tonight. What happened to the days I could do all night parties?

They were brilliant. I was up anyway as our eldest son was at a leaving do for a colleague so I always wait up for him and it was no hardship watching Coldplay. He got to see them live himself last month at the Radio 1 Big Weekend held here in Devon, not too far from where we live. There's something mesmerising about watching Chris Martin perform - he has so much energy. He makes me tired just watching him bounce about.

Yes Jan, I think epic is the new word for cool. The word cool is band in our house, the boys tell me off if I say it so I say it anyway

We all sat here and watched it, and it did occur to me, I couldn't imagine sitting and watching a concert like that at 15 with my parents, they just wouldn't have liked the same music as me. It's so nice to appreciate and enjoy the same things as your children. We were also wondering where Chris Martin gets his energy from, it must take a while to wind down after a concert like that.

Yes, I thought my parents choice of music was terrible - mostly country and western - which wasn't at all cool when I was younger and especially not when I was a teen. The kids share my mine and my husband's taste in music to a degree - particularly Coldplay and U2 - and I like some jazz and a lot of soul, which my eldest also likes. It means we have cd's in the car everyone likes and sings along to.

Whatever Chris Martin has for his energy, I'd sure appreciate some of it. I reckon he's quite a chilled person away from the stage, but yes, I'd have thought he must be exhausted after a concert. I always think that of the poor drummers too as their effort is so physical.
