Pre filter
I've got a home made "tub" for my map turtles thats on the floor. I couldn't use a normal gravity fed external filter so had to build my own which is basically a big 25 litre tub with a tap, filled with foam and alfagrog and fed by a pump in the tub. I've been having problems with the pump clogging so yesterday I encased it in a small sandwich box sized plastic tub with holes drilled and filled with filter foam and now the water is prefiltered before going to the big bucket filter.*
The water this morning is crystal clear. Pre filters are the future. |
