Yep he's doing his thang.
It actually gets a little nasty with a lot of head biting. The male has to live on his own as he'll try and mate with anything. I've been putting them together on netural territory to see if I can get some babies. |

When I first looked I thought it was one turtle standing in shallow water looking at his reflection. I got to the last pic and realised there were 2. Very nice looking animals. Hope you get fertile eggs.

You gotta admit it is a cute shot. Anthropomorphism at its best. I just realized that is a Yellow Mud turtle. Aren't they normally kept in a terrestrial environment with access to water and not like the mud turtles are normally kept?
