That's my sons bed! Sorry but I wouldn't use this for tortoises.As Me Shell said,sides are not very deep.Just 19 cm.Dip in the side is just 11 cm so...
It could be perfect for tortoises if just sides were deeper.

I think you may have problems with wieght bearing of the base. As a bed it is only made for the wieght of a mattress & a single person - sometimes they don't even manage the weight of a large single person. Some are only flimsy chipboard bases with the nice wood on the outside where you can see it.
You may find that you would have to substantially add extra support to the base to take the weight of the soil, etc |
