Spur thigh sleeping all the time
My 5 year old spur thigh will not wake up or eat or drink. She did not hibernate this year and has been eating and active but for a couple of weeks now she just holes up in her flower pot and sleeps. I have tried bathing her regularly in reptoboost but she has the bath then I put her under her lamp and she just goes straight back to her pot. She won't touch any food and when she is in her bath she would normally drink but she isn't.
Temperatures in her cage are fine I've checked but she is worrying me now. Any advice ?? |

She has a repti glo 10 which is also on for 12 hours. All lights are on a timer so go on and off at 8.
Temp under lamp is 34 |

Mine always hibernates so I wouldn't know except just maybe she does need a rest from eating. Why not switch the lights off and give her a few days. Leave some water in the area so she can go to this if needed. Tortoises can go a long while without food and my guess this would mimic the wild! Give her somewhere she can go into so that she keeps a regular temp day and night though - ie some insulating material in a dark corner and wait ... Only my advice so check it out first though. Amph.

Try a regular fluorescent bulb for a little while instead of the Repiglo bulb. She may have stored to much vitamin D.
