I ve tried washed egg shells and cuttle fish yuck - nearly made him heave!
But will try growing weeds in calcium rich soil ie by adding calcium sand Thanks!

tried the calcium block but not sure that it is my tort eating it - rather the snails as it very slowly disappears.

What would you do with the liquid calcium? I ve tried putting aloe vera on parts of his damafged shell. He seems to like it and it can 't do any harm as it is a desert plant and surely contains some calcium. It certainly has been known to have healng properties for skin and other tissue both for humans and in vetinary! What does anyone think?
