I am new to owning a Tortoise so am learning but i assume the new Herman you would of got would of been quarintined (sp?) for 6 months before putting with the others, so couldnt the Spur use the facilities that Hermann would of? Also is it a good idea to add a hatchling or juvinile to a already established group of older Hermans?

Sherri, you need to make it clear whether you are selling or finding him another home
As the others have said If you haven't got the article 10 in your name then It is illegal to sell him. If you change the name into yours (it costs £25) then it is perfectly legal to sell him, but you need to contact Defra. This may take some weeks to do. Last edited by Bindi; 21-04-2010 at 02:32 PM. |

Then why did you get her Sherri??. I have Lily and he is a beautiful, funny little med spur (Ibera) and this saddens me as I love him so much. I agree with redfoot Marg - they are wonderfully charismatic, funny tortoises. I hope she goes to a home where the owner truly loves and wants to give her the best care. I certainly hope you have taken the advice of others and have the necessary documents to rehome (see Bindi's last post).
