I do think they take some precautions on hygene, but depends on who where and when.
But I personally wouldnt take the chance of any bacteria/virus contaminating my torts.

I have done this before and must say not a good place to take your tortoise. I think i will go to have a nose. Might meet up with you Viv.

I'll probably go along with my son for something to do but wont be taking my tort now! - I really dont understand though why such a well known respected group are not putting simple hygiene procedures in place to protect the tortoises? Its not as if doing simple hand washing etc is going to cost them money?

That would be brill Sarah if we could meet up I will pm you, shame you wont have the baby we could have pushed him/her round the park for a stroll ahhhhhhh!!!!!
Dont think I will take my torts now, just some photos!!! I have been to one before in Somerset, but think I was the only tort owner to turn up!!! They had a storeage tub with about 6 egyptians (said they were customs seizures) and some leopards, so be interesting to see what these bring, also to see if the nature centre where it being held are using good practices, I'm sure the last time I went they were mixed, but will go before event to suss it out!!
