Ibera Adult Carapace
I am looking for some pictures of the shell of an adult Ibera, so I can check what Bertie is meant to look like, does anyone have any?
Because he was oiled and doesn't have the right colouring and is quite small, he is causing a little confusion as to his background. Now he is out of hibernation we can once more get to work on his shell and get some more of the rubbish off him.

Thank you Finchy, Bertie is even smaller at 16cm.
Thank you Helen, they are whoppers! Bertie is so dainty in comparison.

They are whoppers, Helen, have you got measurements for Orwell and Anthony?

This is our Bertie
His owner was an old lady, partially sighted who was taken into care, Bertie was offered to the neighbours, he came here a few weeks later. He was covered in a big splodge of gloss paint, we tried some nail polish remover on cotton wool, this didn't work but removed some of the oil from his shell. So we used our nails and fairy liquid and a toothbrush. This was him the morning he was dropped off The work starts

Hi Bindi...sorry but I don't measure the SCL'S on my tortoises...I can tell when I pick them up if they are a good weight.
The two bigger ibera boys certainly test the strength in my wrist when I pick them up. Anthony I have had for 39 years.....and Orwell only since last summer. If you need to know I will measure them tomorrow for you...just let me know... Orwell is the bigger of the two and has slightly more flare to his scutes...
