That looks like a fantastic read, thanks for the heads up!
I have just ordered one off Amazon, and while I was there I've ordered 'Lonesome George - The Life And Loves Of A Conservation Icon'. |

I've got the Lonesome George one too, it's really good. I saw him at the Darwin center when I went to The Galapagos in 07!

We heard Henry Nicholls speak at the Justmeandmytortoise meeting last year (in Kent), excellent talk, and a good looking chap as well - and I don't mean George!

This book is great! Since it arrived I just can't put it down - the only downside is that I've nearly finished it and want to read more (a bit like my own book, ahem). I was particularly impressed because it mentions Ovid in it - not my tortoise Ovid, but the Roman poet though it was still good that he got a name check
