Hello everyone.
Im new to this site. When I was young, my older sister hada tortoise, this was when there wasnt much information about them around. It used to live in the garden but was old when we first got him. He lived for about 30 years before passing away. I have always had an intrest in tortoises and so a year ago I purchased a 4year old Hermans tortoise named Hermy. A week ago I purchased a friend for him. A 1 year old Hermans called Tiny. I love my babies very much. There so full of character. I hope to have more inthe future, however, i am letting these ones settle with each other first. Im sure you will soon be fed up of me asking asking questions ha. Hope you are all ok. From Kim |

Hi Kim,
Welcome to Shelled Warriors. I noticed in your post you stated you brought a friend for Hermy a week ago! Have you got these tortoises in seperate enclosures? Really you shoud have a quarentine period when introducing new tortoises as there may be a chance your new tortoise might be carrying an illness which is lying undetected. Don't panic, I dont want to alarm you, just asking if you are aware of this potential problem. This also more likely if you have got the tortoises from a pet shop as oppossed to a reputable breeder, but cannot be guarenteed either. Ade
