That setup looks great and it looks like you have all the essentials in there! It might be nice to add some decorative effects like different sized and coloured pebbles and a plastic cactus or plant, and maybe a slate for the tort to eat from (you might already have something in mind for this, if not then you can get fantastic FREE slate samples from http://www.direct-stone-tiles.com/tiles/slate)
As to the night time temperature I think it depends what type of tort you will be keeping - I have a horsfield and I think that ideally temperatures shouldn't drop below 15c but they are fine with a drop down to around 10C. |

The samples are the perfect size for a young tort to eat off of, there is a picture of my Ovid eating from his on the avatar.
As you are getting a tropical tort then I think that your night time temps will need to be a little higher than mine but somebody should be along soon who can confirm this? |

I'm sure the black slate will look fantastic in the table
I think that mine came quickly, within 2 or 3 days, but this 'orrible white stuff might delay it a bit I suppose. I don't know about the humidity gauge I'm afraid as my tortoise doesn't like humidity, but hopefully some tropical expert will be along to give you the best advice on that soon. If you don't hear anything then start a new thread in this section called 'humidity gauge' or something and I'm sure you will get the answers. By the way, I've been looking at the pictures of your little Stars and they look fantastic! I bet you are really excited now |
