I am guessing female too, the vent is quite small and purse like also the tail is short, males reds have long tails.

Look like plastron is concave and theres not much
difference in tale lengths in redfoots .
males is only a little longer than females
id say young male

Female older mature females do sometimes have a concave plastron not as deep as males , all my adult females have evidence of concaveing .

This animal is older than 6-7 and appears to be a smaller sub-varity or hybrid between redfoot and cherryheaded.
