This is an alternative i was thinking, it means more plugs though. A good compact + a uv strip, and a ceramic for heat which can be thermostated.

I went to a pet shop yesterday and gor a sun glo 'tight beam basking lamp 75w'. Only cost £5.19 and seems really good, its creating a hotter basking area (so i raised the holder) than the household bulb i was using. Its a much more natural light too. And gives of uv (A i think).

Eddie's behaviour has improved too, she was back to jogging round her table again.

I was planning on ordering this stip light

Hi Rosshan. Had a quick search for this product on the internet. As far as I can see it provides heat and UVA but not UVB.

Hi again. The strip light you mention looks like an arcadia strip. That one provides UVB but only at 5% which I would say is too low. 10% would be the target I reckon.

Dugy - are you kididng us on or have you been on holiday in outer mongloia for the past three months? Most of the lmaps that MegaRay have been sending out are faulty in one way or another judging by the experiences of people posting on this forum.
