Just 1 more question, do I need to use a thermostat, or is it just leave the heat on for the full 12 hours ?
Thanks Daz |

if you are getting a heat + UVB bulb then it stays on for 12 hours. you can't use a thermostat with them or it will blow them. they are not designed to go on and off. if you do decide on a spur thighed make sure it is a mediterranean spur and not an african spur as they get massive and have wildly differing care needs. You will more than likely know that but I've seen a few who have thought they were buying a med spur thigh only for it to be the other kind.
of course, hermanns are the best |

Thanks Alan
I was not aware of the difference of the Spur Thighed so thanks for that. Makes sense about the uv/heat. Thanks for the reply Daz |

You could go to a reptile shop and that would give you an idea of what you want in the way of bulbs
They are very hard to order
