Warning for anyone looking to buy torts
Hi guys, not sure if this is the best place to post, but wanted to make new/exisiting owners aware...
I have recently found that people have been having alot of trouble when purchasing from ****** *** ****** in Basildon. Mnay people have had mistreated torts from this centre and even some with deformities. Please be wary when purchasing a tort!! Last edited by Bindi; 01-05-2011 at 09:52 AM. It's fairly obvious who you atre talking about so no real secrecy here!!!
I have never had a problem with these people. The set up is good and torts do when captive bred have deformities some of mine do it's called nature. Quote:

I have to agree with you here. One of my Hermanns had a slight touch of RNS when I got it from here. However, the vet said that it was only slight and relatively common, It didn't require oral antibiotics. It only had a tiny amount of pinworms and the vet was generally impressed. When I informed the shop that I had been to vet, they immediately paid all the vet fees. I've had another tortoise from them and it's been fine. I posted pictures of mine and they look great. I think they offer a great service! |

I have been to this store many times and never had any problems. I ahve seen photos of the set up they have for the hatchlings and could barely fault them! Good of them to pay your vet bills to me the sign of a good pet store.
