Default Stupid taxman!

Stupid taxman! Although I shouldn't complain this time - they just seem to have no idea what they are doing.
Last year they said I owed them £600 tax from 6 years ago and that they were going to take it out of my wage. A day later I got another letter saying I had to pay within a week. And then a day later another one saying ignore that letter we are going to take it out of your wage. Which I later found out they couldn't legally do because it had gone over the 5 year threshhold. But they did it anyway.
Now today I get another letter and this time they say I have overpaid and they will send me a cheque for £472! What a way to run a country.

Wow, that must have been rather stressful!! Hope it is worked out now (and there is a nice cheque in the post for you!!)

I am liking the tax man as he has stopped taking my money away! (I only work part tome and now earn below the threshold for paying tax )
