Default Question for the men

Do you remember puberty? My 12, nearly 13 year old son is complaining of aching balls. It's not severe pain, just a niggling ache in the background. Now not having any myself and hubby only vaguely remembers his puberty I was wondering if you boys could let me know if it's just a normal part of becoming a man.

Funny isn't it - they are usually so loud and verbose on here, but when you need one there's none of them around!

No I don't remember having anything like that.

Although I do get something similar now, the symptoms (pain in the groin and testicles) generally go after a few days rest.

Thanks Kelly, and others. We were all set to take him to the walk in center today, being a bank holiday and all the doctors think no one gets ill on a bank holiday, then he said it wasn't hurting this morning but started again this afternoon. I kind of thought it may be puberty but you can never be too careful with yer bits and bobs can you?

It is normal, the growth spurt during puberty causes lots of blood flow to that area causing the aching.

Thanks for your input people. I will mention it to the GP and see if he thinks it's worth checking. With Aspergers syndrome they seem to feel pain more intensely than your average kid. Pain killers seem to be helping him.
