Yes I trialed one - no good either too warm or below zero! Ended up getting a full size undercounter.

Ive used the Stella beer mini fridge for the last few years and it has been alright. Keeping a steady temperature in the required range did require at times some ice to be added. I would say they can work alright with careful monitoring. But I've realised I really need a fulll size normal larder fridge in the future.

Hey i remember posting that one, never used it for hibernation, went box style in soil container, then in another insulated box in the garage.
There's some acurate thermostat's that will work a small heater at 5c, thinking of rigging/building a self contained hibernation box about 3 foot high, with the heater in the lid. Any thought's.

im very very scared about hiberation.... Its my 1st year with my two and i know they have to sleep this winter.

I thought maybe the vet may know somewere that will do it for me?

I’ve used a Husky Budweiser fridge last year and it was fine. Temp did fluctuate a little but never to dangerous temps (used alarm just in case). I got it set up about a month in advance so temp would settle and I could calibrate with bottles of water. Barney came through it fine – but I should say he only did about 4 weeks as it was my first time and he was the only tort in there, 4 yr old Horsfield. I imagine you need something a bit more serious with more torts or older ones who would hibernate for longer.......

I was scared too - hence why I only did for about 4 weeks. He did really well though and I was in more danger of a nervous breakdown than he was in the fridge.
