Torts out of hibernation
Mines out, today after 6 and 1/2 weeks, first time hibernation, opted for box method in the garage. my two little hermans have warmed up, been bathed and eaten. Great relief

Its a pity you couldnt have left the the full eight weeks, which is recommended for first time
hibernation. Or even a couple of weeks after that. If their weight loss is minimum it wont hurt them to stay longer in hibernation.

Glad they're ok
It's killing me but as they've only lost 3g each (as of three days ago) I'm going for the whole 8 weeks and they're only six months old.. As scary as it is, it's what they've done for millions of years... They know best!

Torty's 8 weeks is up tomorrow If he hasn't lost too much weight this week I'll leave him for a bit longer. So far he has only lost 4g so he's doing really well. I must say I think the 8 weeks went by really quickly.

Just thought, it's all very well us all saying they've lost Xgrams.. Does anyone know what the % bodyweight is safe to lose, if you see what I mean.
I have a few people's suggestions written in the Girlies' book but it's at home not uni' and it's bugging me now that I can't remember!

Knew I'd curse it - both have lost enough in the last few days to take them just over 10% so woke up this afternoon.. Never mind, they did well for their first go and would rather wake 'em than leave 'em any longer
Glad to have them awake again
