Default Who's got leopard tortoises ?

Hello leopard tortoise owners I was just wondering if your leopards eat grass if so what grass ? IV made my tortoise run on my lawn but put in grass seeds for Timothy grass and every other type of grass sold on the shelled warriors eBay page but my leopard eats non of it he loves the dandlions , plantain , sedums , clover , but never seen him eat the grass ? Just wondered if this was because IV got lots more for him to eat n grass is only if there's nothing else to munch on ?

Default leopard tortoise

hi, I have leopards, mine eat lots of grass now, they preferred the dandelions and other weeds so I wet the dandelions and cut the grass up into small pieces and the grass sticks to the weeds, slowly reduce the weeds so that the diet is mainly grass with weeds as treats

Younger Leopards are more reluctant to eat grass by choice but once they get a bit bigger they will happily graze.
All our adults help keep the grass nice and trimmed in the garden.

Well I been buying seeds every month because as soon as they grow they get eaten / snails and slugs mainly but my torts are eating them too as every night I'm out with a spoon and a little pot to collect the snails n slugs and move then in to the brown wheelie bin lol or I put them in salt n started using beer traps around my tortoise enclosure so with the earth n rain there growing up quickly now and also have a bit of garden IV hoed and started growing seeds there with Polly tunnels ready for winter x

All types all day.

Now where is that certain someone that will come along and call me crazy for saying that, then question where I came from and how long have I been keeping tortoises.... all the while stroking his own ego...

Just Kidding...
