Hi there these are my 2 Testudo Hermanni, but i don't know what subspecies they are. I would be very appreciative of any comments, and i need to know what Hermanni they are.

The female is 144mm long and weighs 697g (layed first clutch this year)

The male is 122mm long and weighs 467g

They are both around 8 years old.

Thankyou

Thankyou Danny, very helpful indeed, i agree that they must be Hercegovinensis.
The only thing is their black plastral pigment is patchy and faded like that of T.h. Boettgeri.
What do you think?

According to the BCG 2009 appeal, published in their Newsletter, no 186. CARAPAX claim a fourth sub species T hermanni polopponesica?
As far as I can establish, this is the only written reference to this claim. However, with CARAPAX/ RANA, there are many claims which require proper clarification.
