Post How big is yours?

Does anybody know the average fully grown weight of a male and female Testudo Hermanni?
They are both about 8 years old: Male - 450g
Female - 660g
Is this normal and how much more weight will they put on?

they're not a subspecies, they're just Testudo Hermanni, the smallest of all the Hermanni i think. I know that they max at 180-200 mm in length, and are a bit smaller than Hermanni Hermanni and boettgeri.

they sound more more Testudo Hermanni Hercegovenis if you have been told they grow to a max of 18-20 cm as testudo Hermanni Hermanni adult size and considerably smaller then that at full grown.

Dawn

Pictures would be very helppful to determine there correct name plastron shot and carapace shot too.

Have you checked them on the Jacksons Ratio? Mine are 10 and the males are 14 cm (cant remember without my notebook) around that-and are 550gm which is low normal, but the females of the same age are a good inch or two longer but are over twice the weight
Need to find the MacMillam? ratio-had it printed out somewhere-want to see if my 'seized' Horsfields are doing ok.
