Default Tortoise Enclosure and Tort Club!

So I recently posted a thread about Doug and his enclosure (who is now Flo or Florence, because with your 'sexing' help suggested he was actually a she) and I believe a few of you suggested getting a Uv tube reflector, as a lot of Uv was being wasted. So here are a few pictures of Flo and her enclosure with new reflector, which I bought for the desirable price of £7.99 at my local Garden/Reptile Centre. I am really happy with it, and thank you for suggesting it, as I wouldn't have thought about it otherwise! For those of you that also saw my thread about wanting to create a Tortoise group like www.tortoiseclub.org/‎ (Norfolk Tortoise Club) I got in contact with the local Reptile Centre and they said they didn't do one but were considering it, as lots of people had been enquiring.

Many thanks,

LonesomeGeorge & Flo the Horsefield's Tortoise

Looks very dark in the table, maybe open the blind so it lets more light in x

My initial thought was how dark it looked too.
I have a clip-on light at the end of each of my tables, with just a 40w bulb in to give extra light. http://www.wilko.com/electrical-acce...m/invt/0052331 It really makes a difference in the winter months.

I took the pictures around 6pm so Flo was asleep! However I wanted to try out the reflector so turned the lights on and shut the blinds to see the full effect of the reflector. Many thanks for your replies though, and for the link, good to know.
