So these are still "spur thighed" but the ibera bit is the sub-species bit , yes?

Yes it is a Spur-thighed and ibera the subspecies

He looks like his ancestors are from the European mainland, especially if his A10 says he is UK bred.

unfortunately the stupid shop told me it was a SHE and so her name is LILY. But...since then, I have found that it is a HE.




You could always call him Lily Savage

Yes it was more helful than my book on med. tortoises. Tommorow I'm looking at mine more closely especially the plastron as I suspect its iberan although the tortoise trust weighed him once and wrote down graecia spur thighed. It just goes to show ! amph55
