It takes something like that to make us realise just how vulnerable we all are. I'm so glad the outcome isn't as serious as it could have been (though the poor lad must have been in awful pain). xx

Willz is doing well at home and doing more each day for himself which is good, today (sat) we are gonna finally move axle n oz into the new table we built sat (day before accident) that my husband built from timber at b&q, we pinched a few design ideas from you all we planned to move them into it after football last sunday which didnt happen obviously, but we will get it them in it now and post pictures, gives him and his little brother Dan something to keep busy and he will be able to see them better from his bed now too

That's horrendous. I'm so glad you have your lad back safe and sound, and I hope he makes a speedy recovery. I have two boys myself, both a couple of dangermouses, if they make it out of childhood with no broken bones I'll be amazed, each day brings a new trauma (to my heart) and another grey hair! Thank you for sharing

well surprise surprise, someone has tipped the land owners off and the fencing has already been changed so was hard to get pictures of the actual drop but we got as close as we can and took some from the bottom looking up but its much scarey looking down, shows someone is worried about it they must know they are liable !!!! we alsp took pictures of the fence and wall we had to make a chain along to get him off the embankment the drop to the car park was 8ft !
none of this fencing was here last week when my son fell just 3ft posts with 2 strips wire stiches come out tomorrow looking upwards this was as close to the edge as we could get , the drop in behind the offending breeze blocks left by builders the fence that stopped him the 8ft wall we carried him off of into ambulance

I've only just seen this thread. I am so glad your son is ok. He must have been in such pain. You must have been scared to death. He was lucky there were loads of people there at the time, someone could have fell down there when there was no one around.
