On Saturday 17th October 2009, starting at 11am, there will be an
insect fair, open to the general public, to be held at
Kempton Park Racecourse
Staines Road East
Sunbury on Thames
Middlesex
TW16 5AQ
Small-Life Supplies will have a stall at this indoor event; we will be near
the main entrance on stand number 45. We'll have BSP kits for sale at
special reduced prices and we'll be launching our new crystal clear
snail centre with floor level ventilation, designed for Giant African Land
Snails. There'll be about 90 different stands, including insect books,
mounted specimens, conservation groups, livestock and equipment.
Entrance is 3 pounds for adults, 1 pound for children, and there's lots to
interest anyone fascinated by the world of insects and spiders.
Unfortunately the venue is not suitable for our electronic card terminal
and so we can only accept cash payments for items.
I hope you can make it; if you think you can, please email to let me
know. And be sure to introduce yourself to us because it's always nice
to meet customers.
Many of you are asking when the next Open Days at Small-Life
Supplies will be. Well, we plan to have one in November 2009 and the
next one before Christmas in December. Our events are FREE and are
held in our showroom (postcode NG13 0EB), with free refreshments. It's
a great opportunity to see the insects and cages and ask Dorothy Floyd
any questions you may have about insects.
Many of you are also asking about how we are coping with the postal
disruption. Well, we do have alternative couriers that we use when
Royal Mail is on strike and so we are able to continue supplying items
by an express sevice. It helps keep costs down if you can supply a work
delivery address because some independent couriers charge more to
deliver to a residential address.
