Thanks Louise and Daisy, Rach and Ade, the plants are now showing serious signs of a rare blight........Leopard tortoise frenzy! I will have to replace them tomorrow, and they made mud pies in the water dishes! They had such fun!

You didn't miss it Nina, you were the first to reply, I posted the pictures because I chenged my substrate to soil from a mix of Aubiose and soil in trays.

I've also changed to just topsoil for both my Indian stars and Horsefields (when they
are indoors). I find it dries out and becomes dusty with sand added and I gave up on hemp ages ago after stabbing myself under the finger nail when cleaning out...Ouch They are only on soil outside so I thought it more natural doing the same indoors.

I use the Levingtons organic topsoil, the same as we put in their enclosures outside to replace the heavy clay we have in the garden.
