So sorry to hear this, Cherry Brandy. I've never experienced dementia and hope I never do. It's right up there with cancer on the worst diseases ever list.

Clare I’m so sorry to hear about your mum, such an awful illness, but a lovely way to remember her on a pedalo. lots of love to you xx

Death and taxes the only known quantity of life. it all seems a little clinical.
IHT forms, probate forms , Wills, funerals....what a complete work up and money making machine this is. I can not imagine how people circumnavigated their ways round things. back in old times. Was it easier or harder. Done everything on line and no one to speak with on how to do it.....line after line of press 1 for this, 2 for that 3 if entirely cheesed off and about to have a meltdown...

Sounds terrible, Clare. Drop me an email if you want any advice. Hubby’s a funeral director and he deals with everyone in person, face to face. Same with the registrars though can’t speak for solicitors.
He can tell you what grants and help is available and so on too. Here if you need us. x
