Default Astilbe japonica/Spiraea

Does anyone feed this to their torts? TTT says leaves and flowers are edible.
Itís come up lovely in the garden but is so wispy Iím not sure mine would so much as look at it.
Iíll try them with it and see what happens but just interested whether anyone else grows it.
